The Daughters of the New Moon troupe
is a local not-for-profit organization.
In addition to
electing a President, Secretary, and Board Members, a Mission Statement
and Bylaws were written to further define our purpose and
belief.
To learn more about the troupe, please visit our archive
to see published news articles about the troupe and its members.
As Americans, we greatly value the freedom that we have to study and
practice this ancient art form without restriction.
Our mission is to promote and nurture self-respect and confidence in
women of all ages, backgrounds, shapes, and sizes through honoring and
preserving the art and traditions of Middle Eastern dance and
costuming;
to educate and inspire members of the community both as students and as
audience through classes, performances, and workshops; to provide a
rich
and supportive environment for growth and focusing of physical, mental,
emotional, and creative energies; and -- above all -- to laugh together
and have fun!
